Well I was putting out some cams today and I got to thinking that maybe it's time to change up some cams. The old P32's and P41's are getting up in years now and I've had 3-4 crap out on me in the last year or so. What's everyone moving to now that the old Sonys are getting up in years? Most of my older cams are running with SSII boards with a couple of SS and Bigfoot boards thrown in as well. Anyone got any advice??

All depends if you want to use the same control boards (they will need reprogramming to use with the newer cams) .I think quite a few are going with the day video and night still cams with Ralph's boards

I've recently built a couple of Nikon L11s (SD card and AA batteries) and an Olympus VG-140 (day video and night stills); right now I'm working on an Olympus VG-190 (also day video and night stills).

I'm ashamed to say that I just bought a Browning Special Ops -- it's out in the field now, but the preliminary daytime videos look better than those from either one of the Olympus cameras. Bought the Browning because of the quality of the videos David Neils has posted on from his Brownings (https://vimeo.com/256262153) --they're exceptional.

The p41s  are still one of my favorites for closer pics and I am using alot of the Panasonics for really nice picture quality(the fs7 and fs15 are my favorites...and the non extending lens fp8 with slave for speed) The sony H70(also with slave) is also a great choice for quality pictures and the Nikon L-11 is a very nice camera..but probably should be used with a slave too. For IR cams..the Samsung A503 is still my choice and for daylight vids I use the Fuji JZ 250 and the Panasonic sz9. Also...you can never go wrong with the Sony s-600.....but I am leaning towards cameras that use an SD card instead of the old  memory sticks mainly because I can download SD cards directly to my Iphone. I'm pretty sure I got you confused a bit now ...lol

I also like the L11 as it takes a standard SD card of up to 32 gb ; I have not tried bigger.
I have a day video/night slave flash fuji that i am working on atm. I also, like Woody have bought a couple of new model commercial cams mainly to try the video. The BROWNING BLACK OPS has exceptional response time and sensitivy picking up movement of very small birds etc, but sadly the video quality is NOT a patch on the BUSHNELL TROPHY CAN HD AGGRESSOR. It has unbelievable quality video, trigger speed is exceptional. For my money the BUSHNELL wins in every department.

Thanks guys. I had 2 L11's but they both died as well. I have a Nikon L22 here and a Pentax Optio E80.  May need to get someone to hack them for me, my eyes aren't as good as they once was!!
