I had to put my faithfull dog Tucker to sleep after 10 1/2 wonderful years. He developed severe arthritis in his spine and was in constant pain and it was just unbearable to see him suffer. Our lives(me and my wife) were centered around him as our children our grown and living their own lives. We  spent thousands of hours with him and walked thousands of miles together....he was with me on all my camera traps as I would just open my truck door and he would jump out and I would follow him to my cameras.  We miss him dearly and have been balling for  3 days now.

Sorry to hear that Joe, it is hard losing a pet after having them for so long.

So sorry to hear that Joe. Tough time for you and your wife. It brings up sadness as me and my wife reflect on our 13 year old best friend.

Sorry hearing you had to do that and know you know Tucker is no longer in pain but... I remember having to do that to my beagles and can always look back on the good times with them.

I don`t think people understand the bond that happens.  We spend so much time with our pets that we develop a bond different from anything else.  I am always with my boys which makes it different from our kids who come and go.  I understand your sorrow.
