Well looks like an almost sure thing for me to be there and looking forward to playing with a couple of pannys - me being there should be enough to get a couple of you easterners over - you get to meet a genuine Finlander/Yooper

Well, I'm not even thinking of thinking about it as things going on then. Unless something drastic happens (which it is NOT going to) then no way. Still would have been nice meeting you guys. Maybe get one down Detroit way?? Don't know how that is if it would be 1/2 way abouts for everyone.

Detroit ends up being over 11 hrs for me either side of Lake Michigan I take...funny that most all of WI and MN are closer for me than the Southern L.P. of MI.  Also closer to Chicago and Northern IL...travel timewise anyway(no freeways in the Yoop - approx. 5 hrs to the Big Mac bridge)

What are "pannys"?
Just trying to figure where might be a happy medium. Guess really for us in the real homebrew making area anywheres west of PA is getting too far (oops, did I just throw down a gauntlet?). From Erie to the central part of PA where most of the guys seem to be is 3 1/2 hrs. approx. From me to say Chicago looks like 6 hrs?? Maybe another time can get something going so will be good for us's and you'ns.

pannys are panasonics...pasties are cornish meatpies that were adopted by the finnish miners for lunches in the copper and iron mines from central u.p. to northshore of mn

Chicago is about 8 hrs for me.

Ken, Sorry I won't make it. Just figure everyone will be begging me to fix/do their builds so might as well not show up to force them to learn on their own.
P.S. Hope you had your hip boots on for that...maybe waders and a boat would be more like it!
