I am usually so busy, and actually am fortunate that with my job I really don't know what day it is sometimes.  Today I dropped my son off at work, my wife dropped my daughter off at work, then I got to train the pup for a little while.  That was a miracle in itself.
Picked my son up from work, went and got his drivers permit.  (should hve been yesterday but that would make an even longer story)
Got home and he wanted to drive.  We drove all over nowhere.  If anyone wants a new mailbox send me your address and I'm sure my insurance will pay for it along with our drivers side mirror.

All of a sudden, wife, daughter, son all at home.  WHAT???  Nothing to do.  I was able to have a BEER!  My 24 year old nephew laughs when I get excited at little things at work.  I had to text him a picture of a beer.  I know I'm old and lame, my kids tell me all the time.  But, simple things.  Plus, I already know I get to go check cams tomorrow.

What a weekend!!   What are your simple pleasures?
When I look at the smiles on all the children's faces, I just know they're about to jab me with something.

My "weekend" is everyday, [biggrin] Sorry, couldn't resist.
When you are in a difficult situation and wonder where God is; remember the Teacher is always quiet during the test.

I'm with Jon on this, the only way I know what day it is is by looking at my pill box. It's not fool proof though, forget to take your meds one day and your whole life is in turmoil, lol. Life isn't all a bed of roses when you're retired so enjoy being busy while you can.
