Your going to help me out here with what is going on. Or correct my attempts, we dont have these critters down here 😉. Firstly is the pile of branches to cover something? Is the chain holding a bait? Is that animal a Mink, maybe Martin or something related?

the pile of branches is a cubby sticks set in a v piled up and covered so the scavenger birds don't see the bait  secondly the chain is holding what is left of a road killed deer not much left now(just to keep the yote ect from dragging it away )and that animal is a fisher cuz mink and martin same family
