For some reason I didn't keep the diffuser for one of my 3700s when I did the hack. What type of glass do people use for a white flash slave, and where do you get it?

I have some microscope slides that would work but they seem thinner than the glass we use for the camera shutter and flash holes.

The microscope slide will work but may be easy to get broken. I used to cut flash glass from old picture frame glass and that worked quite well. Even thin window glass will work.

i stopped at the local hardware store that cuts glass and they gave me some scraps and i cut my own.

Just go to the hardware store and get the throw away pieces of plexiglass. Easier to cut then glass (I used the 1/16" before and have had them crack a while after using so probrably had too much pressure on when fastening to tree) and for me has never given one bit of trouble. Yes it might scratch easier but isn't over the lens so doesn't make a difference.
This is in the newbie section.

Good idea, thanks.

I have to stop at Home Depot on the way home in the morning so I will ask them!
