Here's a video from a Flip camera I put in a build -- https://forestandfield.blogspot.com/. Unfortunately, it lost a lot of quality when it was loaded into YouTube. Thanks to Ralph for figuring out the hack; here's a photo of the build in a Pelcan 1040 --

what is a flip camera

They were video-only cameras made by Cisco which haven't been made for a while. There are a lot of them on ebay -- the prices are all over the place, but of the six I have none have cost more than $25. There are several models, mine store two hours of video on an internal memory (they don't take a memory card).

Thanks....daylight only?

Yes, daylight only -- for night videos a white-light array would have to be used. There are posts about using an inexpensive array as a light source but I'd be reluctant to have white lights on long enough to take videos. A white-light is visible for an awfully long distance at night and would be much easier to locate than a white flash.

Great build Woody. I haven't put the Flip cameras I have into a build and I never did figure out how to get audio on them either.
