This happened last summer.  We had had tons of rain during the spring and the swamps were just overflowing with water.  I thought it would be a great time to set some cameras in the middle of the swamp and catch some waterfowl pics.  My son-in-law went with me and since I always make him do the dirty work, I sent him into the swamp to hang the cams while I stood on the edge directing him.  He was wearing chest waders and we both thought he would be fine.  Well, he's moving further and further out and asking me the whole time if the water is about to overflow the waders.  He's almost to the spot where I want the cameras and the water is at the very top but I tell him he's got plenty of room.  He takes one more step and the water begins to come in.  Meanwhile I'm standing on the bank laughing at him.  Well two weeks later I go to retrieve the camera and I fiqure I'm a little taller and surely the water level has gone down a bit so I should be fine.  I put the waders on and venture out.  I'm just about to the cam and I'm thinking I got it made.  I take one more step and the water comes pouring into the waders.  Let me tell you those things got heavy and cold in a hurry.  I'm thinking well there's no need to rush now, I'm already wet.  So I retrieve the cams and slosh back to shore.  I make my way to the truck and realize I don't want to drive the hour home in my nasty pants.  I didn't have any other clothes with me so I stripped down to my underwear and started the drive home.  You can bet I was obeying all traffic laws on that trip.  Worst of it was, when I got home there was no one there to bring me any dry clothes out to the truck, so I had to pull up right next to the front porch and run into the house to avoid being seen by the neighbors.  I won't be venturing into that swamp again when it's that deep.

Blessings......Pastorjim

If I'd have known about this sooner I would have asked for a prayer request that the police do a routing traffic stop on you. Wonder if they would have believed you? Probrably would have thought it was a wild tale and been more inclined to think you were on your way home from an all night binge.

Great story AND I can relate. Nothing to do with cams but I was about butt naked and got pulled over.
Years ago I was playing softball(after my college baseball days) and would always leave from work and change on the way while driving to my early game. One time I had my paints off and was about to slide my uniform on and the blue lights went off. I was trying to get them up and then realized the trooper may think I'm reaching for a gun or something so I quit. They were to my knees. The trooper walks to the door and looks in at me and shakes his head. He said I was all over the road and now he can see why. I explained that it wasn't what it looked like and that I was just changing. He laughed and said he thought I was pulling a "Pee Wee Herman". He let me go...
