So I have an F150 Lariat with an ARE cap.  I want to change the windows on the cap to windoors.  Spoke with an ARE dealer today that told me the holes for windows and windoors are cut differently.  This is a beater truck, I don't really care if it looks little goofy.  I figure, what better place to come and ask for ideas for using plexiglass and working one of these windoors myself.  I should have all summer to work on this as I 'need' it by Sept/Oct timeframe.  Any ideas for what I can use for a gasket?
When I look at the smiles on all the children's faces, I just know they're about to jab me with something.

How thick of a gasket are you looking for, also how wide and long. I have some rubber gasket material that is sticky on one side and you just peel off the paper on one side to apply it. It is like what we use for flash gaskets.

Thank you for the offer.  As of right now not sure I'm taking this on.  I have an email to a place that makes them, they are checking if it's possible to do with an OEM windoor that they make.  the problem is their windoor replacement is in the $500 range.  I don't think I like it that much [biggrin]

I may actually run it up to an auto window replacement shop in the area at lunch and see what they have to say.
