Well somebody has to tell you what cams to buy. Now you need a white light array. I'm sure Ralph has some suggestions on them for you

Well if that's all it takes to get you bums going again and ordering stuff to make a new build, I want everyone here to give me their telephone number so I can give you all a call.  [biggrin]

Jon, you will like the GoPro but don't put off getting it in a build for 2 years or longer. We know how you tend to drag your feet. [smile]

Well Daryl (Ghostbusters) kind of hinted l should build a Gopro so l decided l would. l received all the parts from Ralph last week. It included a special amplified sound board (more about that later) I can assure you that l won't be dragging my feet on this build lol. I already have it laid out.

Good for you Trevor, glad at least one guy on here is on the ball.   [biggrin]   Take a hint Jon and get BUSY.  [smile] The amplified sound may be something you would be interested in as well. It really does make a big difference in the audio. Hope I got this right but seems I remember Jonnie Wilson telling me that with the amplified audio you can hear a mouse fart at 100 yards. Not sure I want to hear that but you get the idea.

Charles,
I'm sure you are asking about the start up time which is rather slow, about 4 seconds from pushing the power button to actually starting to take video. Not the fastest camera for sure but it takes excellent quality HD video at 1080p. You have to accept the fact that it is a slow startup camera and compensate for that when setting it up in the field. You certainly wouldn't want it shooting across a trail so an animal is coming directly across the field of view otherwise you will most likely miss it for sure but if you set it facing up or down a trail or at a mineral site or something similar you will be just fine.

Four seconds will work with video. It will be interesting to see how this build goes.
