Just got home from this years Camfest. Numbers were down but meeting friends again was very rewarding, lots of nice visiting. Guys you don't know what you're missing. John did another excellent job of hosting. Fridays dinner was brauts and hot sausages (this boy wimped out on the hot stuff). Lunch Sat. was great sloppy joes and salad. I shouldn't say that Woody brought chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies as then maybe more guys would come out (meaning less for me)! I had to make frequent trips into the camp to "get something I needed"...ie. cookies. Charles brought out some jalopina poppers later after guys left but I didn't believe them that they weren't hot so passed on them.
Again got alot of stuff done, some easy, some having Charles pull his hair out...
Just a few pics. By the way if your hand held camera you forget to put a card in but decide to formate another card in it but it doesn't allow it then plan on holding a cam case open using the camera inside till you get the chance to disconnect it. Got looked at like I was crazy...shut up Ken! [mad]
Scenery going down.

Norma wasn't there as she had something else to do but she did show another of her creative skills. AWESOME!

We wanted to get some bear pics. but as only there for one night plus the neighbor partying till 3:30 (what John? 50 yards away?) I only got this gray fox. S40/Yeti/2000 internal slave with Chris slave board. If yu look close that's taco soup my sister made for dinner the previous night...shhhh don't tell her.

The camfest participant who posted the first photos is a guy who really works hard to avoid having his photo taken. BUT, in return for posting a photo of me feeding my face -- here's a picture of Jon (Iroquois Archer):

Ok...so I rushed out to camp after my class. I passed Buckshot on Eagleton without so much as a glance. Everyone was gone! Geez....

Thanks Jon for the yummy wine!

Norma I thought my daughter had an art showing this weekend and wanted to get home before dark because of driving through Cooks Forest and meeting deer...and not the good way. Turns out it was only Friday night only...and I had to find out that from my sister!
Don't take this personally but glad I didn't have to see you after leaving camp cause that would have meant I'd be making a 4 hr. one way trip back down to get my pills I forgot (well thought had forgot)!
And someone tell Rena that only one person got zapped by a flash capacitor this weekend...and it wasn't me...right Mike? [smile]

Thanks John for hosting the camfest.  I enjoyed myself and seeing a few people that I have not seen in a year.

Rena, no one would have known except Mike didn't keep his big mouth shut.

Woody, notice no pony tail? Plus not being close to the soldering iron with my nose? May have had something to do with the 2 cans of drink I had beside me affecting my senses.

Sorry I had to back out guys.  Looks like a good time was had by all.  It's been a crazy two weeks here, I got to stop by work for 30 minutes here to pick up some stuff now headed to Ithaca NY after being in Chicago the last two days.  Next year I'm hoping for better circumstances to see wveryone again!

Well after all was said & done, I shoulda showed up @ the camfest instead of the wine & cheese fest.
Our truck & trailer is to big for our vendor spot so we carried 63 cases of wine over a board fence to our area. By 3:00 I was so over-heated they sent me to the medic's, they made me leave by before 4:00. They gave me a choice of my car or the ambulance but I going to leave. Judy took me home, made it a couple of miles before I barfed & had a nasty headache the rest of the night. Was there 6 hr and drank nothing but water.
We did sell out of a lot of wine, another vendor had just over 50 cases an sold darn near all of them.
Lessons learned...

Yeah yeah, rough couple weeks.  Was really looking forward to talking to John while handing Charles a wrong camera again too...
