A big thanks to Ralph Davis for programming this camera with his board.  Also a thanks to Charles for the day/night boards for the wireless slave flash.  The popup on this flash doesn't flash, so I put the PT-04 transmitter on top of the camera, and the receiver onto the bottom of the Viv 2800.  I hacked the battery supply wires on the Viv 2800 and put the day/night board in line so there isn't power to the flash during the day.  I ended up taking apart the E620 and soldering my hack wires at the USB port, it has all the needed wires going out the USB.  Shutter release cable for the USB port wasn't working right. I'm waiting for a couple wall chargers that I'll hack the case and use for a battery holder with the camera battery for externals.  Its out in the field now, hoping to check it saturday morning.   At some point I'll add some camo to it.  Thankfully its not a very big case, lol.  Its a MCM tacticaly case, I think its the deep 10".  Last picture gives size comparison with an Otterbox 3000.  Went with this case due to depth at first.  The usb port for the shutter release was on the back and stuck out.  This was the only case I could find deep enough.  Even with other cases and a snorkel, between the thickness of the camera body and the cable sticking out the back I needed this case.  Then after I had the case I realized that cable was crap, lol oh well  Now the learning curve starts with DSLR settings.

Flash doesn't seem to work well like this. Must be some auto off. Only had some night pics but no flash. I covered day/night sensor and it wouldn't start charging the capacitor. I turned the switch on vivitar case off and on and it started charging. Guess I'll hack this flash like normal.

As you have already discovered, when using the wireless setup and Day/Night board, you must install the 470K resistor to the Vivitar 2800A board to disable the Auto Off function. Since the slave flash isn't controlled directly by a slave flash control board, power to the slave flash is always applied to the Vivitar board and the Auto Off function will shut down the charging circuit after 5 minutes and the flash will not charge the capacitor until the Vivitar board is turned off and then back on.

Thanks Ralph, you explained better than I would've.  Adding the 470k fixed my problem.

I think I could get a ghillie suit for it, trim off the excess and have just enough for the slave flash.
