I have 2 Panasonic FX8's unhacked that worked great one day, thought about doing the hacks.
Then charged the batteries I had and now both give me the error msg. "sd card reading error" no matter what card I insert. Cards all work fine in other cams!
And one cameras lcd screen now won't light?
Any of you Panni gurus got any answers, cures??

I solved the SD card problem!

I  did not realize they could only take a 2GB card.
I was trying 4's & 8's duh!!

Still can't get the back light on the one lcd screen to work.

Didn't drop it or anything? Or open it? There are 2 ribbons (one wide and one small) that go to the screen and the small one can be a mutha to get back in without it pulling out while putting the board back in place.

Have not opened it, that would be my last course.
With a flashlight I can read the screen and it takes pics fine.

Thinking about hacking it and seeing if the screen needs to be replaced or can be fixed.
