Nothing special, but I thought I'd show a couple pics of one of my latest builds: FastHack S600 in an Otterbox 3000 with a Critter Getter Micro and 2D externals. A big thanks goes to Jim for taking the time to help get this thing up and running. The build was originally done with an S40, but I ran into a problem where I couldn't get the camera to shutter a pic when connected to the board.

I contacted Jim, and he responded immediately with some troubleshooting suggestions. I still couldn't get it working, so I returned the board. Jim tested it and said everything seemed to work fine. Since this was my first time trying this board, I figured the problem was user error (wiring issue on my part). However, Jim also mentioned how a few Fast Hacked S40's sometimes (rarely) won't shutter a pic with the Fast Hack timing. He graciously sent me a different, brand new board to try. Unfortunately, even with the new board, the camera still wouldn't shutter a pic.

Luckily, I just snagged my first S600 off ebay and finished doing a Fast Hack on it a few days ago. I decided to give it a try in the build. Wired it up, turned the board on, and it started firing pics right away! I guess I just had a Slow Hacked S40 lol. All I have now are test pics of me and the dog in the yard, but it's safe to say I'm a huge fan of the S600, especially the flash range. I'll be giving it a test run in the woods this weekend, and will be sure to post up some pics once I pull the card in a few weeks.

Very nice looking build.  Is that the exterior sheath of para-cord that your wires are running through?  Looks nice, and I like how you color coordinated it.  Nice camo job. [thumb][thumb]

Thanks, and yeah that's gutted paracord covering the wires.

Easily my favorite build to do, the Otterbox 3000 case, a fasthack S600 cam wired to a dual D holder and Jims Micro Critter Getter board.
Looks great and you won't be disappointed with the S600 picture quality, I've not seen a camera yet that does it any better.
