Its been a funny year for deer hunting this year. A lot colder than normal and then we had the ice storm a couple of days before christmas, that really changed the deer habits. I got out boxing day and in the morning had two nice Does at twenty yards and then a buck walked through but had lost both antlers. Usually our deer around here keep them till at least end of Jan. In the afternoon I sat in another spot in the edge of the cedar bush. I seen a deer coming through a hole in the trees and thought , Doe, then seen it again and thought I seen antlers, then again thought no, its a Doe. He cleared the last cedar and I seen it was a buck with one side gone, at 14 yards I couldn't hold back and let him have it. The last thing I said to myself when I went to look for him was, don't grab him by that antler.
But, force of habit...

Yeah yeah, likely story...looks like a shed to me.
Mine was a one horn, picked the head up as the antler side was in the snow and... NO ANTLER! It had run into a tree and the horn was still stuck in the tree about 5' away. __________________ When you are in a difficult situation and wonder where God is; remember the Teacher is always quiet during the test.
